Belize is a country in Central America with a relatively small population and does not have cities that qualify as million-person cities. Its largest urban area is Belize City, the former capital and the country's main commercial hub. However, it has a population far below a million. Belmopan is the capital city, established after a hurricane destroyed much of Belize City in the 1960s. Despite being the capital, it is smaller in size compared to Belize City.
Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport, located in Ladyville, just outside Belize City, is the main international airport serving Belize. It is the primary gateway for travelers arriving in the country by air and connects Belize to major cities in North America and Central America. Due to the small size of Belize, the country doesn't have large hubs or multiple international airports like larger nations.
